Current Market Stats 100 Mile House

-JUNE  Market Breakdown -
Sales
33 sales happened in the 100 Mile House area in the month of June which is up 32% from this time last year but down from the month of May. The interest rate reduction was not enough to stir up a huge number of sales and I do believe that there is still an interest rate stand-off waiting for the rates to reduce enough for buyers to jump into the purchasing ring.

New Listings
In the month of June 67 new listings hit MLS.  This figure is down 23% from this time last year and nearly half of what we saw in May. There was a surge in listings in May which is typical in a Spring market and typically we see June to be the same. There will be a bit of a catch-up period, the big question is, is when! 
Days on the Market
48 days on the market was the average for the month of June. This is down from this time last year and up slightly from last month.

Sale Price
On average, getting into the 100 Mile House market, the cost of a home is $451,000. This is down substantially from the month previous, but is somewhat on par for this time of year and for the Cariboo marketplace. Our prices have increased over the years in relation to the provincial market and this average is a reasonable value.The next interest rate announcement is on the 24th which could increase sales drastically which will in turn then increase price if the demand becomes too great.

Cariboo Highlights
  • The Farmers Market is open! Visit every Friday on Birch Ave from 9-2pm
  • The lakes and campgrounds are busy with tourists, we love to see the Cariboo bustling with action
  • It is Forest Fire season. Make sure your insurance policy is in place as quickly as possible for new closings
  • Watch Lake Lodge offers beautiful 2 hour trail rides twice a day - I highly recommend you book!
